The brief was to organise, source and manage a community project which would allow delegates to give something back to the community and create a feelgood factor within the team.
SCALE
40 employees of differing job grades
SOLUTION
Our solution was to give our client the opportunity to get involved with a local school and help renovate its playground and communal areas.
The school was based in Hackney, Greater London and the objective was to help create a more welcoming environment for the children attending and visitors to the school.
The group spent a day painting and repairing parts of the school.
Murals were painted onto walls surrounding the playground. The designs for each of the murals came from the winning pupils of an art competiton that the school had previously run.
The children were from a range of backgrounds and ethnicities and the school was also keen to incorporate this within the project.
The group had to work together to create a mural that reflected the diverse cultures of the pupils. The finished mural was so successful that their painting of various countries’ flags is now used as a teaching aid for the children.
WE PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING SOLUTION:
• Sourcing a variety of CSR project options
• Pre-event management; liasing closely with the school and Chair of Governors
• Sourcing and purchasing appropriate resources for each of the tasks
• On-site management
RESULT
“Thank you so much…you can see what a difference you’ve made by the excitement on the children’s face”
